Bowhunting
Bow hunting is conducted all year round on Buyskop Nature Reserve, a 244 hectare private game reserve (of which only 108 hectares is hunted) of lush bushveld close to Bela-Bela, Limpopo Province, only one hour’s drive from Pretoria. We trust you will enjoy the experience!!
Our emphasis is on nature conservation and sustainable utilisation which necessitates regular removing of excess animals on a humane and ethical basis, with the least possible disturbance to the animals and the environment. Due to the property characteristics, capturing of live animals proved to be impractical. Therefore we chose to go the bow hunting route as oppose to rifle hunting.
We offer a very high game density currently estimated at over 200 animals which generally results in a good success rate, depending on the skill of the hunter.
Hunting generally takes place from specially constructed hides at water holes, spaced strategically around the property. A guide/observer will at all times accompany the hunter/s with a maximum of two hunters per blind.
We offer the following species, and all prices include Vat:
